Getting on Track in the New Year + 2 Smoothie Recipes

*The following post is sponsored by Fitfluential LLC on behalf of Designer Whey.

I have a confession to make. I have been a total slug. Bump on a log if you will since Thanksgiving. I have told myself that I can relax, nap on weekends, and eat copious amounts of junk food because come January 1, I am back to a strict diet and work out plan.
I will reunite with Weight Watchers in the New Year. Clearly this particularly day I was not doing so well. Don't judge. ;)
There have been plenty of times while I was laying on the couch that I had the urge to get up and go downstairs and run on the treadmill. Did I? No. Why? No reason. Because I didn't "have" to I guess. I have been lazy and come January 1 I have a feeling it is going to be hard to get back on track. I know I will. I know it is going to take consistent effort.

Now that it is a couple of days before January 1, I am pinning healthy recipes, making a healthier grocery list, and making sure that I have all the necessities ready so I can start the new year off right.

After a good work out, I love to enjoy a protein shake. I stuff as much fruit, spinach, chia seeds, and other yumminess into the blender as I can along with Designer Whey protein to make a tasty after work out snack. I find that it provides satisfaction for my sweet tooth while making me feel full at the same time. I notice a difference in hunger when I skip my protein shake. I enjoy mixing and concocting new smoothie recipes and am happy to share 2 of my latest creations with you!

What do I do when I am on the road, at work, or don't have access to the ingredients needed to make a great post workout smoothie? Simple. I carry Designer Whey Protein 2 Go packets with me. I keep one in my car console at all times as they are great to have in a pinch. I keep them in my desk drawer at work and of course in my gym bag. They are the perfect addition to a cold bottle of water and they keep me satisfied until meal time.
