After running a few 5k's, I decided that I wanted to train to run a half marathon. My sister, Allison and I signed up to run together in the Cincinnati half marathon in October together. I knew that I was going to need additional drive and motivation to train to run 13.1 miles and D pointed out to me that I could also run the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Las Vegas, NV in November. D and I have been in Vegas a couple of times when the main strip has been closed down for the Rock N Roll Half Marathon and I never in a million years dreamed that I would want to run it.
A couple of years later, I find myself training for the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in Vegas. Training for the half is quite a challenge in itself but with Team Challenge I have taken on an even bigger challenge. With Team Challenge, I am raising money for an amazing cause; the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
I always love seeing this sign upon arrival in Vegas. |
Vegas holds a special place in my heart. I got married there after all! |
