Etsy Showcase: The Roo Pouch

Recently a friend of mine opened a handmade shop on Etsy and naturally I jumped at the opportunity to help her promote her handmade wares.

Introducing The Roo Pouch, a shop full of handmade cheer to brighten the soul.
Handmade shop owner, Rebecca has many creative talents. She often makes handmade gifts for friends and successfully completes DIY projects around her home.

Rebecca is amazing. She is one of the most determined, hard working, and courageous women I know. I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca for two years when I first moved to Delaware. Now that she has recently moved to the midwest, we no longer work together but remain friends. To give you a glimpse of how great Rebecca is,  I asked her a couple questions.

Why did you open your handmade shop, the roo pouch on Etsy?
"I decided to open a shop as an outlet of my growing curiosity and creativity. For the last few years I have enjoyed making homemade gifts for friends and family whenever possible. For the past two christmases I committed to only purchasing local gifts, or making gifts myself. My family and I recently moved from Delaware to Indiana as my husband will begin a phD program at Purdue in the Fall. I'm currently a full-time stay at home mother of 2 boys, Joey 2/12 and Emil, 6 months. I decided that now was the best time to explore and take a leap!"

What is your favorite thing to make?
"My favorite thing to make is really anything for a loved one. I get a tremendous amount of joy from dedicating my energy to create something that I know someone will treasure (hopefully!)."

Currently, Rebecca's shop is stocked with thoughtful canvases that will brighten any space in your home, office, classroom, craft room, or any place you are looking to add some sunshine.
