I started off by running 2 miles on a treadmill. I felt fine. A couple of days later, I repeated the 2 miles on a treadmill and again felt great. Yesterday, I decided to try 3.1 miles. I was devestated that I could barely make it. I really struggled and my time was sloooowwwww compared to what I used to run.
I knew that I would not be able to bounce back fast so why was I so disappointed?
To make myself feel better, the minute after I finished running, I sat down and filmed a vlog. I do not typically do this. I am not typically a vlogger. But I know that this too shall pass and that eventually I will look back at the vlog and remember how I felt. I do not want to take running for granted. I want to remind myself to take care of ME and do not worry about what others are doing, how fast they are running, or how far they are running for that matter. What should matter is how I am doing and the progress that I am making.
I will get back to where I was. I will persevere.
