I am surprised at how many of my students do not rent their textbooks. Last spring I took a course that required a very expensive textbook. I paid over $100 for the book, used. I wish I would have known that renting the book was an option. I would have saved over $75!
When I mentioned to a couple of students that they could rent textbooks, they mentioned that they like to highlight in their books. They like to make notes and highlighting portions of the book make it easier to find the important tidbits. I explained to them how renting works and they were happy to hear that they could still highlight in their book should they choose.
CampusBookRentals.com is a user friendly site that allows students to rent textbooks for a fraction of the textbook cost.
Here are some perks to renting from Campusbookrentals.com :
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-Campusbookrentals.com also donates to Operation Smile with each textbook rented
Operation Smile is an organization that has been helping people with cleft pallet for over 30 years. Who knew that renting textbooks could help a good cause and the environment at the same time while saving you money!
If you love to buy your textbooks, you can earn money by renting them to fellow students. This is a new initiative that I find to be awesome. What a great way to make some extra cash!
