Water the grass...

One day I was scouring through pinterest and stumbled upon these words. I immediately felt a connection to the statement.

There are many times when we get so busy with life, work, our own goals that we do not make others in our life a priority. Sometimes we compare our life to what we imagine a good friend or family member's life is like. Their life may appear to be "better" or "easier" than my own and at times can make me feel bad. Jealous. Competitive. Bitter. Sad. And even yearn for apsects of their life.

These words made me remember that everyone has struggles that they are trying to manage and there is no such thing as a perfect life.

The next time I encounter a challenge in my life and begin to compare my life to others, I will try to remember this simple piece of art....

I will in turn take care of whatever is plaguing me. I will take more time to reflect before reacting. I will be kind. I will remember that each person is managing their own challenges and that there is no better life than my own.

Love that quote! We only see certain aspects of other people's lives, and even then, they show us what they want us to see. I certainly don't go around looking like a hot mess, even though that may be what I'm feeling on the inside. Thanks for sharing.
