I have been interested in attending a blog conference for quite some time as I have not attended one since April 2011. Quite frankly, I have not had the funds to go to a blog conference and so I have just be living through my twitter friends as they tweet about their various conference experiences. As wonderful and helpful as that can be, it just is not the same as attending a conference in person.

I contemplated what conference to go to for a long time. There are so many to choose from and I did some research keeping in mind cost, location, and what I would have the opportunity to learn. I also wanted to find a conference that provided a sense of community even before the conference started.
I was on twitter one day and noticed a chat starting by Tiffany Noth of @BloggyMoms @BloggyCon and the chat was about networking with brands and there was a possibility of winning a Bloggy Conference pass for participating in the chat. I started to check out the Bloggy Conference website and immediately felt the support for fellow bloggers. The twitter chats are an extension of the support provided for bloggers and the friendships that can be made without even meeting. I have participated in several #BloggyCon twitter chats and have felt a sense of community and support from the ladies who participate in the conversation.
Another draw to the conference is that it is taking place September 27-29 in Cincinnati, Ohio. My sister lives in Cincy and in hopes of keeping costs down, I am looking forward to staying with her. The stars finally aligned and I am taking the plunge and attending Bloggy Conference this year. I am really excited and looking forward to meeting other fellow bloggers as well as learning about blogging trends, social marketing skills, and how to work with sponsors and brands.
Will you be at Bloggy Conference this year? I would LOVE to meet you!
