My favorite music varies by genre and by my mood. There are several artists that tend to be my favorites no matter my mood. Britney Spears and Madonna tend to make this list.
Some artists I listen to when I am in a calm mood such as Sade. When feeling melancholy, I listen to Enya. When enjoying warm summer weather, I love to hear tunes by Kenny Chesney or Jimmy Buffett. Just because music tends to be Nelly Furtado or Colbie Caillat.
If I want to remember an experience, I also have a group of artists that I turn to. For example if I want to remember my time as a Resident Director at the University of California, Riverside when I lived in Pentland Hills, I listen to Fleetwood Mac. It reminds me of the period of time in my mid-20's when I was doing some deep soul searching and self discovery.
