It is a gloomy day in Philadelphia.
I yearn for the days of playing with chalk on the asphalt.
Perhaps this weekend I will open a box of chalk and doodle.
For the sake of doodling.
Because I can.
Do you ever do things just because you can?
It feels good, doesn't it?

I love playing with chalk. In fact, I should get some of our buckets of chalk down for the crew. Today is the perfect day for that kinda thing.

I love all those pictures! Especially of the little girl with the mustache! Are the images from that site free to use?

It's a pretty gloomy day in SF, too. You know what's making me feel 100 times better? Making an adorable cocktail menu for our housewarming this weekend!

But yes, doodling, too.

Nothing like a Springtime day, my two girlies and a pile of multi-colored chalk. Not saying I've seen that yet here in New Hampshire, but I just might someday soon.....

My daughter is just learning to 'draw' and her medium of choice is chalkboard and chalk. She is totally fascinated by the whole process. It is so much fun for my partner and I to watch!

Oh, pretty, pretty! I loved playing with sidewalk chalk as a kid - it's been too long since I did it!
