Ideas equal Goals

Thoughts move quickly through my mind.
So fast that I rarely have enough time to jot them down.
This typically occurs when I am thinking about my handmade business or my blog and I am often feeling like I don't have enough time to put these ideas into action even if I did write them down.
Do you experience the same thing?

I have started to carry a small note pad around in my purse so that at any moment I can whip it out and jot something down.
Even if my ideas can't take place immediately I will at least still have them to reference back to later.

**I am going to challenge myself to take an idea and turn it into a goal.**
I will revisit my goals often, set up action steps, and a timeline.
As I complete or meet each goal, I will create new goals.

{Have you set goals for your blog and/or handmade shop?}

Tonight on #SetUpShop we will share our goals; how to set goals, ideas on how to reach these goals,  and tips for networking with others. Will you be there?

I do have a lot of goals for my shop - and my life! And I'm like you - my brain won't slow down or shut off! My to do lists are always rattling around up there. I keep paper/notebooks/pens all over the place to keep track of my thoughts. I've even been known recently (ahem) to keep sticky notes on my steering wheel for my hour commute every day. (Don't worry - I only write things down at stoplights.) :)

I feel like there isn't enough time in the day to actually think of long term goals past dinner, haha. However, I say kudos to you for bringing along a notebook and jotting down your ideas. You're awesome :D

I do set goals for my shop, in fact later today I kick off a 4 part series of posts on my goals right now. I'm excited for the chat tonight, to see what everyone else is up to!

You should see the detailed plan I came up with to figure out which direction my career and education will take. It's a multi-pronged approach involving interviewing tons of people, studying industry journals, volunteering and self-examination. BIG NERD. :)

You know how I feel about goals! I carry at least two notebooks on me at all times and have even jotted things down in my phone. I'm so scatter-brained that if I don't write it down immediately it'll be gone just as quickly!

Hi Gina!

Goals are great! I'm really challanging myself by leading this 31dbbb on sits so you can say that knocks off two goals! lol looking forward to your elevator speech!

goals are good. I tend to be a little flighty-- moving from idea to idea. i'm excited this month to sit down and actually plan! (i think being creative makes me a lil disorganized.)

first goal: blog for my etsy shop. check!

Thanks for this post :)

Oh man, yeah, I get a ton of ideas a minute. If I don't drop what I am doing right away, I lose them and that is the worst :)

Seriously, how do you do that? I'm seriously considering a blog overhaul (new name, new look, the whole nine), and I've been carrying around a notepad so that when a phrase or idea comes to me, I can scribble it down!

I've tried to keep a little notebook, but then the inevitable happens: I lose it.

great post. I too keep a notebook in my bag, and also one by the side of my bed - I'm forever thinking of things when I should be sleeping, so jot things down in the dark :D
Love the sentiment too xx

I just found your blog and am bummed I missed you on twitter last night but I hope to catch you next week. I just opened up my own shop and as excited as I am I have so many fears!
By the way I love your notebook idea. My ideas are always flowing in the morning and before I got to bed so I think I need to start keeping a notebook around!
