to buy or not to buy

{{Do you ever know that you should buy something because you need it but you just don't because you do not want to spend the money on it?}}

Yea me too.

Every time it rains, I kick myself that I have not shelled out the cash for a pair of rain boots. For some reason spending money on rubber even if the rubber is disguised by a cute design just doesn't strike me as a good time- UNTIL I am dripping wet in whatever shoes I choose to wear on a rainy day...

Today it is raining. Today I am supposed to go shopping. But I am unsure of what shoes to wear...
Perhaps I should buckle down and buy a pair of rain boots? Sad face.

Target, Dots, $25

Target, Whales, $25

How long will these last?

Burberry, $175
Ouch! Cute, but again, for rain boots?

Hunter, $125
I hear these are all the rage. Too bad they are far from cute.

What are your thoughts on rain boots? Do you own a pair? Was it easy to part with the dough to purchase them?

I love your new layout. I don't own rainboots. I should. But I don't. In fact, I think rain boots are on my next shopping list. So cute. I like the first pair with the dots. They will go with more outfits. Love you and miss you. I'm mailing you something tomorrow! :)

No, I totally understand the needing to buy something, but not wanting to spend the money, and rain boots definitely fall into that category! I really wish I had a yellow pair though! :]

If you want to invest in a quality pair for under $100 I'd check out http://www.davrain.com/index.php/ I have a pair and they're great... though mine were free which might make me like them more. But they have great designs and even rain FLATS, which I also nabbed for free and are cute and functional. Let me know if you like them!

I have a fun pair of rainboots, and they're definitely useful plus put you in a better mood on a rainy day! I definitely lust after Hunter boots, but can't validate such a splurge. The target whale ones are cute!

We survived living in England without rainboots. I also survived living in Macau without rainboots. Just saying...

lol to what Monique said. heheh - I have a pair of Tretorns I bought on sale once. DH laughed at why I would ever need them in SoCal, but surprisingly I have worn them at least a dozen times. Last winter was so bad, I wished I had gotten a pair of purple Hunters but they were all sold out. I guess it just depends on HOW much it rains where you are.

I have a pair of the Target rain boots and I love them! I really don't wear them very much...maybe only 4 or 5 times in the last 3 years? I think on the website they said that they ran big so I bought 1/2 a size smaller than I usually wear but they feel small. So if I were you, I'd buy your normal size. You should get the Target boots, they're definitely worth $25. :)

I live in Oregon, where it basically rains nine months a year, and I DON'T own rain boots. I guess I don't wear shoes that would get soaked by the rain, either. During the really wet months, I wear my regular boots that are super cute. (I hate the look of rain boots.)

I have a pair - the black polka dot ones from Target! The dog and I go for long walks every day, rain or shine. They come in handy. My hubby teases me for wearing them, but my toes (and the edge of my pants) stay dry!

MUST HAVE. I have two pairs and they have lasted years and years. My favorite are a pair from Target. Totally worth the investment.

Just be happy you don't have to spend money on a new windshield for your car. So not fun!

nope don't have any. but we don't get enough rain around our parts to really need them. But i sure do love the polka dots and whale ones. cute cute!

There's no need to be cheap on rainboots because surely you'll have them for years and years. Unless you're living in a perpetually rainy place (which I take it you're not because you'd already have them) they don't get THAT much wear.

I have a cute pair of teal and blue and green paisley from Target and I've had them for two years. I love them, they're the best!

Hunter wellies are amazing! I have them in black and think they're adorable! Very fashionable, too :) Even Kate Moss wears them! haha.
