currently obsessing: chandeliers

Every so often I become infatuated with an item or something that I must have. Last month I wrote about Belle of the Wall and my obsession for Elizabeth's amazing work. I was lucky enough to win a giveaway and score a custom designed Ohio State framed picture just in time for football season!

Now I am in love with chandeliers. A couple of months back when I began moving into Dave's house and he had a closet built for me (which I have yet to share the pictures) I have been slowly decorating. I will post pictures of the space but not until it is just SO. I still need to add some things and I am contemplating adding a small--yes, chandelier. Perhaps, over the top? I don't know. I haven't mentioned the idea to him yet--because I am contemplating--well obsessing...

Chandeliers are typically hung over a dining room table, in a foyer, or in an elegant living room. I am really loving the idea of a small black chandelier in my closet. The decor I am working with is red and black with some white.

What are you obsessing over? Are you thinking about doing/buying something that is against the norm?

I've seen pictures of chandeliers in closets. They look really pretty, and if your's is big enough, why not?

I'm currently obsessed with doilies and anything "granny chic". I'm 30, not 65. I think that may be a little unusual for someone my age. ???

Soo pretty! I love chandeliers! Years ago whne I was still in college I bought a big crystal chandelier at a flea market "for my future house". When we re-did our lighting in the condo, I brought it out and the electrician said it was too heavy for our ceilings. When my mom re-did her dining room, I offered it to her and her electrician said it was too heavy for their ceilings. I think this is a reason we don't see too many chandeliers in people's houses in SoCal. The houses are not built as tough as on the East Coast. Whatever - when we get a bigger house, I'll hire someone to make the ceiling strong enough for my chandelier! LOL.
Sorry for the book I wrote. hahah - Happy Monday luv!

I love chandeliers. My parents have one in their living room, their bedroom and my youngest sister's bedroom (such a lucky 6-year-old!). I would love to eventually have one in my dining room and main bedroom. One day *sigh*

I'm currently obsessing over jewel-toned stationery. Haha, so specific. I'm not sure why, but I'm loving super bright colours at the moment! Could have something to do with the drizzly rain outside :)

Love your blog!
