AWARDED with Sugar!

Happy Monday!!!!
{{Recognition is always so nice & sweet! I am so appreciative that I have been tagged by Mandy @ Mandy's Yellow Corner for the Sugar Doll Award! Thank you!}}
The rules of the game are to share 10 things about yourself
and then pass the award onto 10 other fabulous & sweet blogs.

So without further ado...
{{1}} When I first met Dave I had no idea how to cook. In fact I would pride myself on the fact that I was a reservation queen. I did not cook-I made reservations!
When I started to have serious feelings for D, I decided I wanted to become more "domestic" in traditional terms. So I started to cook. This was the first dinner I made for him. Hamburgers and baked potatoes. This hamburger was torched on the grill and the baked potato? yea, see that i served our dinner picnic style on a paper plate? The baked potato rolled off the plate and onto the floor. Not the smartest tool in the shed, but boy do we laugh about this now and we did then too! Now I can cook a few things!
I used to be a pseudo Dodgers fan.Shh..don't tell. When I lived in Riverside, I enjoyed going to a Dodgers game or 2 with my pal Emily. I was also known to attend Angels and Padres games but more likely than not, you'd catch me in LA.
I would take a "tailgating Thanksgiving dinner" before an NFL game over a "traditional Thanksgiving dinner" any day of the week!!
My brother & Dave preparing our Thanksgiving dinner before the Eagles vs. Arizona game in November 2008.

{{4}} I am always down for a football game. It does not matter who is playing or how cold. I just love the sport! I am not an Eagles fan (hence the field) even though I live in the Philly area.

I love mascots but am afraid of the Chick-fil-A cow. I have bad dreams involving him. This is a photo of the cow running up the stairs towards me when Dave and I were at the Univ. of South Florida vs. Marquette basketball game a couple of years back. I ran screaming. Dave laughed so hard he cried. I had nightmares. No joke.
my favorite note. i carry it with me always.
My Grandpa, who I call Papaw, is sick with Mesothelioma, a cancer caused by asbestos. He was diagnosed in December and this is a photo of him and I in December after he had a biopsy done on his lung. I stayed with him in the hospital for several days. Papaw is my hero. I love him so much and never talk about his illness because it is too painful for me. He is going through chemo and the Lord continues to be amazing to him and my family. The last scans showed no extensive growth but this cancer is terminal.
I never talk about this because I can't deal.

Fall is my favorite time of the year and I love going to the apple orchard. I love to pick pumpkins, go on hayrides, and make s'mores by a campfire on a brisk fall night.
I am a sore loser.

I appreciate when people speak up for what they believe in and take a stand.

The Chick-Fil-A cow is creepy! I would have run as well. (I'm scared of clowns so that thing is close enough to one!)
