London Calling

{{Do you have a favorite place? Do you wish that you could go there right now? Yea, me too. }}

I have traveled all over the US and all over the world. I have lived in Ohio, California, and Delaware. (Read more about me here.) I lived in Reading, England for 6 months in 2002. If I had to pick a place to live forever I would choose California. I absolutely love it there but I followed my heart to Delaware and although I am glad I did, in many ways, I still miss Cali dearly.

Of all places that I love to travel, London holds a special place in my heart. I have been all over the world while studying abroad and while growing up. I could list all of the places that I have been to but that does not really matter. I miss England so much as I have not been there since 2002 when I studied at the University of Reading while in undergrad. It was such a great experience and I am so glad that I did it. If you ever have an opportunity to study abroad, do not hold back! Do it!

My top 10 reasons why I love London:
10. Red telephone booths and red double decker buses
9. The underground and all that "Mind the Gap" business.
8. You can walk through London and at any given moment run into something historical.
7. The abundance of Museums at your fingertips. My favorites being the British Museum and the Tower of London.
6. Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey
5. Fish and chips with a big pint of cider.
4. Scones, clotted cream, and a spot of tea at 3pm.
3. The London Bridge is gorgeous at night.
2. Shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Harrods, Camden Market, etc.
1. Big Ben-yes I love the clock. I am infatuated by the clock. So what. Time is of the essence.

Here are some of my favorite photos of London!
Notice, they are mostly of Big Ben?!
A girl can dream about the day she will go back to her favorite place in the world. Until then...
I have this post.

Where is your favorite place?

Luv & smiles,

That's SO cool you got to study abroad Gina! J and his sis got to study abroad every year. My parents wouldn't let any of study abroad. I would have loved to study in France or Italy. My favorite place has to be simply Hawaii. I just always feel so relaxed and content there.

I blogged about your giveaway this morning at

My favorite places--well first and foremost Southern California--I love Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, La Jolla and try to vacation there 2-3 times a year.

I also very much love Hawaii esp. Maui. I got married there on the beach at sunset.

And finally I have a big love for Seattle too.

I think I need to be on the West Coast obviously! Right now I am a Midwest Girl who has lived in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

I've never been to London, but I've always wanted to go. Sounds like you had the best time living there. I live in Los Angeles and I love it here. I also LOVE Hawaii, Barcelona, and New York (but only to visit).

I too study abroad, and lived in London for about 5 months.
My favorite thing? Laura Ashley private sales, and Harrods, I could live in Harrods, and survive off the bakery!

I have been living in FL my whole life. I've lived all over the state, and really am not opposed to living elsewhere. As a kid I lived here because my parents did. As a student I lived here because college was free if I stayed in state. Now I stay here because the thrift stores are essential to my job. I think I may never leave, but it wasnt planned.
