A friend of mine from So Cal was in Maryland this weekend for his Goddaughters birthday party. I was so excited when he invited me to breakfast on Sunday morning at Ihop. The hour drive for both of us to meet in the middle was well worth it! It had been 2 years since I had seen Kafele and it was so fun to catch up!
The one thing I miss the absolute most about California is all of my good friends that I left behind. I have not been able to establish a close knit group of friends in Delaware yet. In fact, when I got home Dave said to me, "I haven't seen you this happy in a long time!"
Perhaps it was just the excitement of seeing Kafele or having a fun chat or being able to be me or talk to somebody from UCR? Not sure- but it was fabulous!
Kafele & I at Ihop in Nottingham, MD
{{While driving back to Newark, I passed a sign on a church that I thought was really touching.}}
I tried to get a photo on my Samsung U-740 but it wouldn't cooperate in the clutch plus it was hard to do while driving. The message was this:
{{"Love. Putting your needs before mine."}}
I mentioned this to Dave when I got home and he laughed and said, "Yea, I'd say you love me." haha. That sign and his comment along with seeing Kafele kept my heart warm all day long.
I hope that you had a great weekend! What did you do? Please share! I'd love to hear all about it!
Luv & smiles,

What a great day! First off, I love driving to meet people half way. It is a true sign of friendship. I once met someone in NM for just that reason. I came from FL and he came from WA.

Also, meeting for breakfast is the best. mmm breakfast.

Lastly, stop trying to take pictures while driving! Be safe for crying out loud. Some of us would be very upset if you got in a silly cell phone related wreck.

Oh, cute! I love seeing old friends, except for the fact that I'm super shy and feel's still great!

Gina, I just wanted to stop by and say THANK YOU for reading and following along at The Sweetest Petunia. You're comments are always sweet and encouraging, and really, it means a lot to me. {{hugs!}}
